The Severn Reckoning

About this book

When the body of a teenage girl is found painted with a crude black squid, Detective Inspector Anna Gwynne knows the terrifying internet challenge is back. For Anna, this isn't just another case; it's a chilling echo of the past, linked to the very serial killer she's bound to: the enigmatic Hector Shaw, whose own daughter was a victim years ago. Shaw has led Anna to buried bodies before, but this time, the trail leads to the dark, isolated grounds of Ryegrove Hospital, a secure unit with its own sinister history. As Anna unearths the shocking truth behind a nurse's disappearance from Ryegrove, a terrifying picture emerges: a hidden tunnel beneath the hospital's forbidding fence, a disturbed patient who communicates through chilling paper figures, and a sinister network of manipulators, including the sadistic Krastev and the unhinged Dorell siblings, all connected to the Black Squid's deadly games. But who is truly pulling the strings, orchestrating death from the shadows? With lives on the line and the Black Squid claiming new victims, Anna must untangle a web of lies and madness, risking everything to expose the ultimate puppet masters before more lives are lost. The Severn Reckoning brings the Black Squid trilogy to its gripping conclusion.
