About this book

Therapeutic Group Enactment of Myth puts the depth and power of the world's great stories in the hands of therapy-group leaders and other clinicians. In this book, readers will learn about a groundbreaking method for using storytelling, guided meditation, and role play to foster a direct and embodied awareness in group therapy. Through numerous examples, the book describes the theoretical framework that guides readers through all aspects of preparing and facilitating a Mimesis workshop. Readers will come away from this book with a deep understanding of how the universal dimensions of myth and story build connections across culture and time, allowing groups to move beyond divisions and projections to find understanding, acceptance, and shared community.
